Role Overview
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Marketing to drive this next growth phase. In this role, you’ll refine and test messaging to resonate with high-urgency buyers, drive demand generation, and optimize customer retention. You’ll align marketing with sales to improve conversion rates and pipeline velocity while experimenting with acquisition channels to maximize impact. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll shape strategy and execution alongside our leadership team.
Location: Our team is based in Chattanooga, TN. While we are remote-first, we're prioritizing candidates that are based within a commutable distance to allow for occasional in-person collaboration
What You’ll Do
Messaging, Positioning & Customer Insights
- Deeply understand customer pain points through direct research and interviews.
- Test and refine value propositions, content, and outbound messaging.
- Create compelling stories and case studies that showcase WorkHound’s impact.
- Revalidate our ideal customer profile (ICP) and identify high-value segments.
- Research customer pain points through direct interviews and analysis
Demand Generation & Pipeline Growth
- Drive and optimize multi-channel acquisition strategies (email, LinkedIn, SEO, paid, events).
- Align marketing with sales efforts to generate high-intent leads that convert.
- Experiment with new channels to uncover the most effective growth levers.
Churn Reduction & Retention Marketing
- Partner with Customer Success to engage at-risk customers proactively.
- Develop win-back campaigns to re-engage past customers.
- Strengthen customer relationships through nurture sequences and educational content.
- Partner with Customer Success to engage and retain customers

Growth & Performance Tracking
- Set and track key marketing KPIs (pipeline contribution, retention impact, CAC/LTV).
- Continuously analyze what’s working and iterate on the marketing strategy.
- Report insights to leadership to drive data-driven decisions.

- 5-10 years of marketing experience, preferably in a B2B SaaS or HR Tech startup.
- Proven success in repositioning a product or refining messaging for a shifting market.
- Strong track record in demand generation and pipeline growth.
- Experience in customer retention marketing or engagement strategies is a plus.
- Ability to translate customer insights into clear, actionable marketing strategies.
