About The Role
As a Staff Engineer on the Facilities team, you will play a key leadership role in developing the core systems and applications that power Veho’s Ground Operations. Your work will focus on building user-friendly, efficient, and high-performing solutions that enhance the experience for stakeholders across the business. You will drive the architecture and development of critical initiatives, including: Warehouse Management System (WMS), Facility Command Center (FCC), Facilities Mobile App (FMA) with Directed Workflows. Your impact will be direct and tangible, shaping the tools and features used daily by Ground Ops Associates, Supervisors, and Operations Managers.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering for Supply Chain Tech, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our facilities technology not only meets but exceeds standards for engineering quality, reliability, and performance.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Architecting, building, testing, and deploying applications, APIs, and features for our operations user base
  • Modifying designs and specifications of complex applications
  • Collaborating and adding value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions
  • Working with technical and non-technical end-users, other engineers, and product managers in a cross-functional, quick-moving, and collaborative environment
  • Analyzing code, requirements, system risks, and software reliability and providing recommendations on how to leverage our technology more efficiently
  • Working with Product and Design to confirm requirements, prioritization, and development of new features
  • Acting as a player-coach alongside Engineering peers, to build high-quality software efficiently while also fostering team growth through mentorship and collaboration
What You Bring:
  • Has 8+ years of experience building, testing, and deploying applications in high-traffic production environments
  • Has 8+ years of experience in full-stack software development (ideally with Typescript, Node.js, and React)
  • Experience in the Supply Chain domain is required, with a strong preference for experience with building software for Warehouse users
  • Experience collaborating closely with Data Science and Operations Research engineers
  • Enjoys taking initiative, is a self-starter, is willing to move fast and ship quickly, and is excited about collaborating on big challenges
  • Enthusiastic about working closely with product and operations team members to develop creative solutions to never-before-solved problems in a brand-new problem space
  • Tech Stack: AWS, Typescript, Node.js
Compensation:
$185,000-225,000 per year
The pay range is subject to the discretion of the Company. Additionally, Veho offers a competitive equity package, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage as well as other benefits such as 401k and generous PTO for full-time roles.
