Summary

ClearJet is assembling a team of unique e-commerce logistics Leaders to plan, execute and oversee our Customers' commodities from their fulfillment center to warehouse sortation through domestic air cargo networks and into the final mile delivery solution. This team will be comprised of individuals with high energy levels, Omnidirectional strategic thinking, and tactical execution, all delivered with unparalleled Customer Service soft skills.

Characteristics

  • Will serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for our local Station Managers as they interact closely with our Customers, strategic partners and cross-functional Senior Leadership Teams, both internally and externally.
  • Support and provide direction to local Station Managers as they fulfill their daily operational responsibilities.
  • Ethically conduct oneself in an honest, professional, and unbiased manner maintaining behavior and performance aligned with the ClearJet mission and core values.
  • Deliver an unselfish attitude with the ClearJet team, Customers, and Partners.
  • Must be an effective self-managed individual with a high capacity to prioritize hour-by-hour and day-to-day, keeping the short, mid, and long-term business strategies in mind.
  • Requires a business growth mindset passionate about your craft and will examine ways to enhance yourself, our process, and the Customer experience.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of the airline and/or air cargo industry, as well as a solid working knowledge of sortation, WMS/TMS systems and FTL/LTL processes within the freight forwarding industry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Leadership and oversight to multiple ClearJet locations or region.
  • Ensure and maintain TSA compliance, coordinate local station audits, and serve as a primary resource to specific locations and TSA, Airport, and Airline representatives.
  • Serve as a resource to local Station Managers (company or vendors) for sortation systems and partners. Ensure compliance with all required TSA training, postings, and procedures at all times.
  • Oversee and provide support for logistics to ensure efficient flow starting from the customers' fulfillment center - to the ClearJet sortation warehouse - to the airline cargo warehouse and to the final mile integration partner.
  • Ensure local Station Managers (company or vendors) are working proactively with our Customers at their respective distribution centers to coordinate and manage any operational situations prior to their existence in order to minimize the downline effect to the operation and Customer.
  • Provide support and direction for local Station Managers (company or vendors) to deliver cost-effective routing solutions, monitor tracking, and trace exceptions through various internal and external transportation software systems to our Customers, sortation partners, and airline representatives.
  • Ensure proactive communication and cooperation between local Station Managers (company or vendors) and ClearJet Logistics Planners to book, coordinate and execute ground movements to/from our warehouses and airport cargo locations.
  • Ensure proactive communication and cooperation between local Station Managers (company or vendors) and ClearJet Logistics Planners to secure pieces, weights, and dimensions and prepare/update the airline cargo air waybill as necessary.
  • Act as the primary liaison with key stakeholders, build and sustain proactive relationships with ground transportation providers, airline cargo teams, and internal and external customers.
  • Maintain positive relationships and communication with all Customers and partners. Provide detailed and timely operational follow-up with all Customers and partners for operational exceptions and any corrective actions required.
  • Provide oversight and direction for Teams to meet and exceed operational metrics and KPI’s, including but not limited to;
  • Providing the most profitable mode(s) of shipment and meeting the company's revenue goals and customers' requirements in agreed timetables.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with document accuracy and is completed promptly, efficiently, and according to regulations and internal procedures.
  • Ensures data inputs into the transportation management system and/or other systems are accurate, timely and meet all regulations and internal requirements.
  • All federally-required documentation and reports are maintained as well as any required audits or inspections.
  • Ensure proper documentation of individual and Team performance expectations as well as annual performance reviews.
  • Use prior experience in Air Cargo Freight Forwarding to solve complex shipping situations and keep stakeholders informed proactively.
  • Proactively identify shipments at risk of service failure and take control of shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Responsible for preparing and attending Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to review and discuss Team and/or Region’s performance.
  • Will ensure local Leadership provides daily shift recaps and monthly business reviews in preparation and support of QBRs.

Requirements

  • Must pass the:
  • ClearJet employee background check
  • Complete all required TSA and Cargo security training
  • TSA Security Threat Assessment (STA) background check
  • Specific airport security and background checks as required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain or equivalent work experience
  • Will work in a safety-sensitive position that includes a drug-free work environment
  • Three to Five years of airline cargo industry experience, including recent work in airline and cargo operations.
  • Exceptional understanding of the airline industry, including TSA regulations and procedures, cargo booking/tracking, and industry technology interface.
  • Excellent understanding of freight forwarding procedures, including cartage operations, booking/tracking, security requirements, and technology interface.
  • Understanding and use of different booking, Warehouse and Traffic Management Systems.
  • Knowledge using the various Google WorkSpace applications that include:
  • Gmail, Google Drive and Sheets as well as Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
  • Can actively monitor Social Media channels to identify service failures and goodwill gesture opportunities and share essential industry news.
  • Other duties as assigned
