As the Director of Finance, you will design, model, and present financial reports for Jeenie and proactively identify trends and impacts on the business to inform decisions. As a partner to the business, you will help advance team objectives and business outcomes by interpreting, communicating, and applying financial analyses. ABOUT SUCCESS IN THE POSITION

Financial Reporting and Compliance

Financial Reporting

• Cash flow: Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support daily operations.
• Implement strategies to optimize cash reserves and investments.
• Income Statement/Balance Sheet: Prepare accurate financial statements/reports/presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• KPI Dashboards: maintain a monthly KPI dashboard that provides investors with a clear and concise overview of the company's financial performance, and addressing questions and providing explanations as needed.

Compliance

• Ensure compliance with tax filings and regulatory/other requirements

Budgets

• Complete monthly/quarterly/annual budgeting and forecast processes Revenue Projections, Department Expense Projections, and Operating Cash Flow projections
• Work with Commercial Teams (Client Development and Client Experience) to build Revenue Projections
• Develop and maintain templates and presentations to be used in order to support the revenue forecasting process
• Provide monthly mix analysis to explain variances between actual and forecasted revenue
• Work directly with Department heads to build annual expense budgets
• Develop and maintain templates and presentations to be used throughout the organization to support the review of the annual operating plan and strategic plan.
• Consolidate projections and review and present multi-year forecasts, strategic initiatives, and opportunities to improve financial performance.
• Reconcile Department budgets with actual spending vs. budgeted expenses
• Identify operating efficiencies to optimize department expenses
  

Data Analysis and Synthesis

• Run what-if scenario analysis to show the implications of different business operational and strategic paths
• Work with Department Heads to examine their Department performance indicators and re-engineer their growth drivers to ask hard questions, challenge assumptions, and drive important decisions
• Client Pricing - work with Commercial Teams (Client Development, Client Experience) and Product on pricing analysis and optimization
• Gross Margin analysis - work with Linguists Experience and Engineering team on Cost of Goods Sold analysis and optimization
• Prepare presentations for the Executive Team and Board of Directors to highlight financial trends and summarize business plans
• Initiate and support annual benchmarking studies and other profitability analysis

Finance Operations

• Design and implement future state processes for all finance functions, including Order-to-Cash (AR), Procure-to-Pay (AP), and Treasury
• Optimize use of current financial reporting software (Quickbooks) to automate current state processes
• Work with Data Operations (Data Engineer and DevOps) to optimize client invoicing and payment processes

Ad Hoc

• Participate in due diligence work and analysis around M&A, capital raises and debt refinancing
• Size potential market opportunities and revenue impact for new product development and innovation, along with associated market expansion.
  
  

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; MBA, CPA or CFA is a plus
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A; background in technology space and/or private equity and/or consulting transaction services
• Essential: Proven ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize data from various sources to provide insights and recommendations
• Experience with working in finance in a digital marketplace, understanding how to weigh supply and demand, and the implications to pricing and load balancing
• Very strong business acumen and track record of solving complex business problems
• Highly collaborative, team-oriented approach
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills with superior presentation skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and unwilling to accept status quo if something can be done better
